Alison Rector is a painter and printmaker, making art in her studio in Belfast. She has been creating silkscreen prints since 1990 when she moved from Boston to Maine. These intimate prints depict images of rural life in Maine; the series started as “mail art” the artist put in envelopes and sent to her friends around the world. Alison Rector graduated from Brown University. Her work is exhibited in galleries in Maine, Massachusetts and New York. She was the featured artist in the Autumn 2008 edition of The Gettysburg Review.
