Richard Saltonstall, from Rockport, Maine, received his BA from Harvard University. He has shown extensively in juried and solo exhibitions, including the USM Area Gallery, Husson College, and College of the Atlantic. He received a silver medal from the Royal Society of the Arts in London, and is represented in the Farnsworth Art Museum's permanent collection. He has painted mostly Maine subjects, both rural and coastal in a style of intense emotion, decisive application, and irreverent humor.
